BMG Rights Management, formerly known as Bertelsmann Music Group, is a global music conglomerate with a rich history in the industry. Originally formed in 1985 as a joint venture between Bertelsmann AG and RCA, BMG has since evolved into a powerhouse of music production and distribution.

In 1986, Bertelsmann acquired full ownership of RCA and Arista Records through the purchase of their joint venture's stock from General Electric. The following year, these labels were merged under the umbrella of Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), solidifying its position as a major player in the music world.

In 2004, BMG joined forces with Sony Music to create Sony BMG Music Entertainment. However, in 2008, Bertelsmann sold its stake in the company, leading to the formation of BMG Rights Management. Today, BMG continues to thrive as a leading record label and distributor worldwide.

Keni Burke is a talented bassist, keyboardist, songwriter, and producer. Born on September 28, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A., he began his career as the bass player for the Five Stairsteps. After the group disbanded, he embarked on a successful solo career and became a sought-after session musician. His track "Risin' To The Top" became an anthem for UK soulsters in the 80s.

The ex-Five Stairsteps member Keni Burke had major success with the classic 1982 album, Changes. The album was recorded at the legendary Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia and contains Burke s best-known solo single: the sleek yet funky Risin to the Top. The song has been sampled by major artists ranging from neo-soul singer Mary J. Blige on her #5 R&amp;B hit Love No Limit in 1992, to rapper Doug E. Fresh on his single Keep Risin to the Top in 1988 and rapper LL Cool J on his 1990 hit Around the Way Girl. Changes includes energetic dance-funk grooves like Can t Get Enough (Do It All Night), the title track, All Night and the single Shakin as well as romantic ballads and slow jams such as One Minute More and Who Do You Love.
