Factory Benelux is the Belgian counterpart of Factory Records, established in Brussels in 1980 by journalists Michel Duval and Annik Honoré. The label operated under the umbrella of Les Disques Du Crépuscule until 1988. It initially released singles by A Certain Ratio, Durutti Column, and Section 25, which were spare recordings donated by Factory Records. Over the next few years, Factory Benelux exclusively released music from New Order, Crispy Ambulance, The Names, Minny Pops, Cabaret Voltaire, Crawling Chaos, Stockholm Monsters, and The Wake. In addition to pioneering dance singles by Quando Quango and 52nd Street.

Between 1983 and 1986, Factory Benelux mainly focused on European editions of regular Factory releases. This period also saw production work by members of New Order under the name Be Music for artists like Life, Nyam Nyam, Surprize,and Lavolta Lakota. Notably during this time were two complete albums by The Durutti Column: Short Stories for Pauline and Circuses and Bread.

The label stopped releasing new material in 1988 but retained its name for early CD reissues through Crépuscule in the early '90s. In 2012,FBN was revived with James Nice at the helm who previously worked at Crépuscule during the late '80s.The revived F

The Durutti Column is an iconic English music project founded in 1978 by Anthony H. Wilson and Alan Erasmus in Manchester, England. However, it quickly evolved into a solo endeavor led by Vini Reilly. The project was signed to Tony Wilson's renowned label Factory from 1978 to 1992.
With their unique blend of post-punk, new wave, and experimental sounds, The Durutti Column has left an indelible mark on the music scene. Led by the talented Vini Reilly, the project has consistently pushed boundaries and defied genre conventions throughout its extensive career.
From their early beginnings as a collaborative effort to becoming a solo venture under Reilly's guidance, The Durutti Column has consistently delivered innovative and captivating compositions that have garnered critical acclaim worldwide. With their distinct soundscapes and emotive melodies, they continue to captivate audiences with each release.

Factory Benelux presents an expanded vinyl edition of Another Setting, the third studio album by cult Manchester ensemble The Durutti Column. Another Setting was recorded in 1983 at Strawberry Studio, Stockport with production by Chris Nagle, a favourite engineer of Martin Hannett. The 11 track album contains several acknowledged Durutti classics, notably haunting instrumental Prayer (burnished with cor anglais by Maunagh Fleming) and The Beggar, probably the closest Vini Reilly has edged to rock music. Elsewhere, Smile in the Crowd would be covered by Depeche Mode mainman Martin Gore on his 1989 solo project Counterfeit.

2LP - This new vinyl remaster also includes non-album single I Get Along Without You Very Well, a bittersweet Hoagy Carmichael cover sung by Lindsay Reade, the former wife of Factory foreman Tony Wilson. The second disc is a previously unreleased live show taped at the Pandora’s Box Festival in Rotterdam on 4 September 1983, featuring eight tracks performed by Vini Reilly and Bruce Mitchell. It Comes packaged in a gatefold sleeve printed on white reverse board, restoring the original cover artwork by Mark Farrow with cover paintings by Jackie Williams.

CD - Bonus tracks on the CD include exemplary live versions of The Beggar and Bordeaux, plus non-album single I Get Along Without You Very Well, a Hoagy Carmichael cover sung by Lindsay Reade, the former wife of Factory foreman Tony Wilson. Also included are two tracks issued on a highly collectible Japan-only 7" single, Love Fading and For Noriko, as well as Piece for Out of Tune Grande Piano from an earlier EP on Factory Benelux, Deux Triangles.
