<p>The Horrors are an English indie rock band that was founded in 2005 in Southend-on-Sea. Known for their unique sound and style, they have become a prominent figure in the music industry. <p>An independent record label, XL Recordings was launched in 1989 by Richard Russell and his team. Originally an off-shoot of City Beat Records, XL quickly became known for releasing rave and dance music. Over the years, XL has grown to become one of the leading labels in the industry, managing a roster of talented artists including *Leah Riches*, *a6001996*, and *a60243*. In 1996, XL officially incorporated and became the copyright-holder of its releases. To celebrate their 15th anniversary in 2004, XL launched their XLXV series of re-issues. Today, they continue to thrive as a pioneering force in the music world.</p>

They whipped up a storm with their haircuts, celebrity girlfriends and thrilling live performances, now the Dickensian undertaker lookalikes have changed their tune and embraced melody. The sparse, trashy garage rock of their debut has opened into a lighter, brighter experiment in new wave and distorted electronica. Chris Cunningham and Portishead's Geoff Barrow produce, the influence of the latter heard most distinctly on seven-minute keyboard soundscape 'Sea Within a Sea'. Faris Badwan presides majestically over this album of two halves, segueing from the pulsing discord of opener Mirror's Image to the soaring grandeur of 'Do You Remember?'.LP - Heavyweight Double LP.
