Test Recordings by The Lounge Society, is a series of pre-album sessions in the studio with producer Dan Carey.

Recorded in a bid to capture a brief moment in time in which the songs lay in their embryonic form, Test Recordings features six tracks that would eventually make up Tired Of Liberty; the debut album by The Lounge Society, released in the summer of ‘22 via Speedy Wunderground.

The brief was simple. Let’s attempt to capture a ‘before-and-after’ comparison of the tracks, before they’re road-tested live. The result? A series of masterful intuition; recorded in one longform take, with no mixing. A savvy fan’s wonderland, featuring a mismatch of lyrics, and instrumental experimentation (‘North Is Your Heart’ transforms into a lyric-less jam session), Test Recordings packs a hearty punch of adolescent splendour; harking back to the jagged golden-era of CBGB escapism, rebellious intensity and disco-esq basslines.

This is more than a series of demos. This is uniquely The Lounge Society. A snapshot of a band just on the brink of creating something ground-breaking, and a body of work that comes to life in its rawest form, only to be reborn again. Whether you’re new to the ride, or have clung on since day one, the story remains the same. The Lounge Society have always been destined for timeless greatness, and this is just the beginning.
