The Strokes are an American rock band formed in New York City in 1998. Known for their garage rock revival sound, they quickly gained popularity with their debut album "Is This It" in 2001. The band consists of lead vocalist Julian Casablancas, guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr., bassist Nikolai Fraiture, and drummer Fabrizio Moretti.

RCA is a multinational record label that has been used worldwide and is currently owned by Sony Music Entertainment. The name RCA originally referred to the Radio Corporation of America, a US electronic and communications company formed in 1919. Since then, RCA Records has switched owners twice and is currently owned by Sony Music Entertainment.

On September 26, 2011, Sony Music Entertainment reorganized the RCA Records group into its own label banner. This merger brought artists from Jive, Arista, LaFace, and J Records under the umbrella of RCA. Additionally, reissues from these imprints will be handled by RCA as well.
