Ozit is an independent UK label that was formed in 1996 by Chris Hewitt and Dave Edwards. It incorporates Roach Records, Ozit Records, and the American label Morpheus Records. This first volume gives us tracks from Tosh Ryan and Martin Hannett's Rabid label archive and also tracks from the two subsequent labels that occupied the building at Cotton Lane, Withington, Manchester and also involved Tosh Ryan- Absurd and Razz. It features John Cooper Clarke, Jilted John, Gyro, Bet Lynch's Legs, Nosebleeds, Slaughter and the Dogs etc.
