Pylon

American post punk/new wave/indie rock band Pylon was founded in 1978 in Athens, Georgia. The band consisted of Randall Bewley on guitar, Curtis Crowe on drums, Vanessa Briscoe Hay on vocals, and Michael Lachowski on bass. They were active during three periods: 1978–1983, 1989–1991, and 2004–2009 (Bewley deceased).

Pylon can be compared to artists such as Au Pairs, Young Marble Giants, Essential Logic, Delta 5, Josef K, The Raincoats, Bush Tetras, Swell Maps, Kleenex, Wire, The Soft Boys, The Monochrome Set, Gang Of Four, The Slits, Magazine, ESG, Mission Of Burma, Television Personalities, The Fall and Rosa Yemen.
