Rammstein

Rammstein is a German rock band formed in 1994 in Berlin. The band's six-man lineup has remained unchanged since its formation, consisting of singer Till Lindemann, guitarists Richard Z. Kruspe and Paul H. Landers, bassist Oliver "Ollie" Riedel, drummer Christoph "Doom" Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz.

Rammstein played a significant role in the mid-1990s as one of the founding bands of the German/Austrian subgenre known as Neue Deutsche Härte (New German Hardness). Their music combines elements of industrial rock and (groove) metal, drawing inspiration from acts like Ministry, KMFDM, and Metallica. While most of their songs are in German, they have also performed in other languages such as English, Spanish, French, and Russian.

Known for their award-winning live shows filled with pyrotechnics and theatrical performances both on and off-stage, Rammstein has redefined their music style as Tanz Metal (Dance Metal). The band's name originated during their formative years when someone wrote "Rammstein Flugschau" ("Rammstein Air Show") on a tour bus wall. Although it was misspelled, the name stuck with them despite its unintentional connection to Ramstein Air Base.
