Soulside

Soulside is a post-hardcore band from Washington, DC, formed in 1986 by Bobby Sullivan (vocals), Scott McCloud (guitar), Chris Thomson (bass), and Alexis Fleisig (drums). They initially performed as Lunchmeat before becoming Soulside. After releasing their debut album in 1987, the band went through lineup changes and recorded two more albums and a single before disbanding in 1989.

Following the split, Johnny Temple replaced Thomson on bass, and Temple, McCloud, and Fleisig formed Girls Against Boys with Eli Janney. Meanwhile, Sullivan pursued other musical projects such as Rain Like The Sound Of Trains and Sevens.

Over the years, Soulside periodically reunited for shows until they released their first new studio recording in 2020 with the "This Ship" EP. In 2021, they recorded a new album titled "A Brief Moment in the Sun," set to be released in late 2022.
