Album artwork for Familiars by The Antlers

The Antlers release 'Familiars', their fourth studio LP and first since 2011's 'Burst Apart'. (In between, they released the '[together]' and 'Undersea' EPs.) It was recorded, produced, and engineered by the band at their Brooklyn studio, and mixed by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Future Islands, Beach House). The album is full of stunning atmosphere and the usual powerful lyrical content that explore the darker side of life. If you like tasteful and jarring but well-placed horn arrangements, sexy (yes, 'sexy' and 'The Antlers' in the same sentence] guitar riffs, and understated yet addicting bass lines, and sadness, then 'Familiars' is the perfect album.
