Long-standing UK indie rock band, The Charlatans, was founded in 1988 in the West Midlands by bassist Martin Blunt. With a rich musical history spanning over three decades, they have become a household name in the music industry. Known as The Charlatans UK in North America to avoid copyright issues with another '60s San Francisco psych rock group of the same name, their unique sound and captivating performances have garnered them a dedicated fan base worldwide.

Founded in 1977 by Martin Mills and Nick Austin, Beggars Banquet is a renowned UK indie label that has made its mark on the music industry. It all began with the release of two 7" singles by punk band The Lurkers. Since then, Beggars Banquet has evolved to encompass a diverse range of genres including punk, goth, synth-pop, folk-rock, and indie. Building on the sound of their eponymous, previous release (The Charlatans - also a number 1), the band's performance has the feel of a classic British rock band, (the type which also contain 'Roll' in the Music'), combined with the more focussed songwriting of 'Britpop'. It has aged well. beggars banquet now release a special expanded edition.

2LP - The first disc is the original album, re-mastered and cut from the analogue studio tapes, while the second disc is a collection of the single b sides plus an unreleased, early version of 'Don't Need a Gun', originally entitled 'Rainbow Chasing'. Of the eight b sides only half were re-issued on the anthology Songs from the Other Side.
