The Goo Goo Dolls is an alternative rock band hailing from Buffalo, New York. Formed by John Rzeznik, Robby Takac, and George Tutuska, with Mike Malinin joining later on as the drummer. Their commercially successful single "Iris" in 1998 catapulted them to fame, but they have had numerous other popular hits including "Name", "Broadway", and "Slide". With 14 top ten singles and over 10 million albums sold worldwide, the Goo Goo Dolls have left a lasting impact on the music industry.

In October 2012, *Iris* was ranked #1 on Billboard's "Top 100 Pop Songs 1992–2012" chart. Their biggest hit spent nearly a year on the charts and held the number one position for an impressive 18 weeks. The band's record of achieving 14 top ten hits at hot AC radio format remains unmatched. They continue to captivate audiences with their music, releasing their latest album *Magnetic* in June 2013.
