The Partisans

The Partisans are a punk rock band hailing from Bridgend, South Wales, UK. Formed in 1978, the original lineup consisted of Phil Stanton on vocals, Rob "Spike" Harrington on guitar and vocals, Andy Lealand on guitar, Mark 'Savage' Parsons on bass, and Mark 'Shark' Harris on drums.

In 1979, the band underwent some changes with Rob taking over vocal duties and Louise Wright joining as the new bassist. This lineup entered the 123 Studio in Cardiff in 1981 to record their first demo. The demo caught the attention of Garry Bushell who championed them in Sounds magazine and invited them to contribute to the Carry On Oi! LP.

After splitting up towards the end of 1982, The Partisans reformed in late 1983 and relocated to Bayswater in London. With a new lineup consisting of Rob on guitar and vocals, Andy on guitar, Dave Parsons (formerly of Dig Dig Dig) on bass, and Shark on drums. However, they disbanded again in 1984.

In the late 90s, The Partisans made a comeback with yet another new lineup featuring Rob on vocals, Andy on guitar once again alongside Magnus Neundorff on bass and Mikael 'Gustaf' Gustavsson handling drumming duties.
