Description
Remastered by Kevin Metcalfe and Lawrence, the 2022 edition of Felt's first studio album from 1982 features a 6-song LP with very sparse arrangements. The album includes quietly strummed guitars and minimal floor tom, showcasing Lawrence's ambition to release the best debut English album ever.
Initially, Adrian Borland offered his services for the album, but commitments with his band The Sound prevented this collaboration from happening. As a result, Felt began a relationship with Swell Maps producer John A. Rivers. The album was recorded and mixed in just six days, giving the band a taste of how bitter reality fares compared to the "mellow fruitfulness" of blind ambition.
