Angelo Badalamenti

Angelo Badalamenti (March 22, 1937, Brooklyn, New York – December 11, 2022, Lincoln Park, New Jersey) was an American composer, arranger, conductor, keyboardist, producer and vocalist. He gained recognition for his exceptional work in film and television industry. Collaborating extensively with renowned director David Lynch throughout his career, Badalamenti's talent shone through in their numerous projects.

During his teenage years, Badalamenti showcased his musical prowess by playing the piano and French horn. He further honed his skills at the Manhattan School of Music before embarking on a successful journey in the music industry. In the 1960s and early 1970s, he penned songs under the pseudonym Andy Badale while working at a music publisher.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to music composition and arrangement, Badalamenti received several prestigious awards. Notably, he was honored with a lifetime achievement award at the 2008 World Soundtrack Awards and received the Henry Mancini award in 2011.
