Betty Harris

Betty Harris is an American soul singer, best known for her recordings on Jubilee and Sansu labels. Born in 1939 in Orlando, Florida, she was mentored by Big Maybelle. In 1962, she released her first solo recording and achieved major success with a cover of Solomon Burke's "Cry To Me" in 1963. After retiring from the music business in 1970, Betty made a comeback in 2005.

With a career spanning several decades, Betty Harris has left an indelible mark on the soul music scene. Her powerful vocals and emotive performances have captivated audiences worldwide.
