Church Of Misery

Church Of Misery is a Japanese DOOM rock band formed in 1995 by Tatsu Mikami. Influenced by early Black Sabbath and 70s heavy rock, their music features lyrics dedicated to famous serial killers. The band gained recognition in the international underground for their carefully crafted songs and authentic 70s sound. With various line-up changes over the years, they have released albums on labels like "Bad Acid" and Man's Ruin Records. In 2001, they signed with Southern Lord and released their first full-length album "Master Of Brutality". They have since toured internationally and continue to create powerful music.

In 2014, most of the original members left the band, but Tatsu Mikami found new musicians to join him. Their album "And Then There Were None..." was recorded with US guest musicians in 2016. After adding a new drummer, Church Of Misery resumed touring in 2017.

The current line-up includes Tatsu Mikami on bass (since 1995), Hiroyuki Takano on vocals (since 2015), Yasuto Muraki on guitar (since 2015), and Junichi Yamamura on drums (since 2017). Throughout their history, Church Of Misery has showcased their unique blend of doom rock that continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
