Duma

Duma is an experimental noise/metal duo hailing from Nairobi's thriving underground metal scene. Consisting of Martin Khanja (aka Lord Spikeheart) and Sam Karugu (aka Sam Kiranga), the duo came together in 2019 after being former members of bands Lust of a Dying Breed and The Seeds of Datura. With Sam taking on production and guitars, and Lord Spike Heart providing extreme vocals, they create a unique blend of darkness that resonates with their audience.

Drawing inspiration from their surroundings, Duma infuses their music with elements of kikuyu culture, resulting in a sound that is both haunting and captivating. Their intense performances leave audiences spellbound as they push the boundaries of traditional metal music.
