Grey October Sound

Peeling Grey is one of L.A.'s premiere post-punk bands, established in 2008. With influences like the Cure and Echo and the Bunnymen, they believed in the future of music while honoring the spirit of post-punk's past. Their journey began with Andy K. Smith and Mike O'Hare jamming in Hollywood, eventually adding Richard Nielsen on drums and Naren Renz on keyboards. They gained local interest through live shows and released a demo EP that reached audiences worldwide. Despite lineup changes, they recorded their debut album "The World's Not Sorry" and continued to evolve their sound.

In 2013, Peeling Grey made a comeback with new material and a refreshed lineup. They released their second music video "Rumors" which showcased a change in style and sound. The band went on to play notable shows such as Convergence 20 in Chicago and WGT's Cure Party in Leipzig, Germany. In 2015, they released their sophomore album "Our Sky's Falling". While facing member departures, Peeling Grey experimented with a drum machine but briefly reunited with James Hazley as lead guitarist.

Their third music video "Our Sky's Falling" was filmed throughout the American Southwest despite challenges like extreme weather conditions. This marked their final live performance before dissolving in 2018 after ten years together. Since then, Andy K. Smith has pursued his solo project "Khanada"
