Marcia Griffiths

Marcia Griffiths is a Jamaican singer, born on November 23, 1949 in West Kingston. She began her professional singing career in 1964 with Byron Lee and the Dragonaires band. Her first hit, "Feel Like Jumping," was recorded at Coxsone Dodd's - Studio One where she collaborated with *Bob Andy* on many duet recordings. Marcia then ventured into solo work on the High Note label under the guidance of Reggae's only established female producer, *Sonia Pottinger*. After ten years in the music industry, Marcia joined forces with *Judy Mowatt* and *Rita Marley* to form the I-Threes, an integral part of Bob Marley's entourage.

With a career spanning several decades, Marcia Griffiths has become an influential figure in Jamaican music. Her soulful voice and captivating performances have earned her recognition as one of reggae's leading female artists. Alongside her collaborations with esteemed musicians such as Bob Andy and Judy Mowatt, Marcia has released numerous successful songs throughout her career.
