Potatohead People

Potatohead People is a Canadian hip-hop/electronic producer duo from Vancouver, BC. They first met in high school and bonded over their love for J Dilla and Madlib. In 2008, they formed Potatohead People and started creating innovative instrumental music. Their 2012 EP 'Kosmichemusik' gained recognition when it was reissued by NY label Bastard Jazz. The duo's debut LP 'Big Luxury' was released in March 2015. They have collaborated with artists like Kaytranada, Phife Dawg, and Questlove.

After developing a friendship with Illa J, the younger brother of J Dilla, Potatohead People produced a full-length LP for him which was released on Bastard Jazz in late 2015. Throughout their career, they have worked with notable musicians such as Moka Only, Pomo, Ivan Ave, and The Pendletons.
