Reba Mcentire

Reba McEntire is an American country music artist, born March 28, 1955 in Chockie, Oklahoma, USA. She was discovered while singing the National Anthem at the National Finals Rodeo in 1974 and signed with a record label the following year. Reba released six albums and achieved her first top ten single in 1980. In 1984, she moved to a new record label where she gained more control over her music and became one of the most prominent artists of the decade. Reba won numerous awards including CMA Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year multiple times. She has sold over 75 million formats worldwide and continues to be a major presence in pop culture & country music.

During the 1990's, Reba became a major touring act and cultural phenomenon with her multi-platinum selling albums and elaborate stage shows. Alongside other influential artists, she paved the path for countless country music artists to follow. Reba also ventured into acting, theater, television (the sitcom "Reba" has never left syndication since its debut in 2001), publishing, and philanthropy.
