The Move

The Move was a British rock band from Birmingham that formed in 1965 and disbanded in 1972. After undergoing several line-up changes, primary songwriter Roy Woods desired to form a new band that would combine orchestral elements with hard rock, leading to the formation of Electric Light Orchestra. The Move gained recognition for their string of top 5 UK chart hits, including "Night of Fear," "I Can Hear the Grass Grow," "Flowers in the Rain," "Fire Brigade," and "Blackberry Way" between 1966 and 1968. Although they released four albums, only their debut self-titled album managed to chart at #15 in the UK.
