The Particles

The Particles began in the mid to late 1970s during the rise of Punk music in Britain and Eastern USA. The band originated from a block of flats in Berry Street, North Sydney, which became a hub for punk music. After moving to inner city Sydney, they performed at various venues and gained a following. The band went through several lineup changes and released three EPs. They experimented with different sounds while maintaining an element of '80s Bubblegum throughout their evolution. The Particles toured extensively and left behind a legion of fans before disbanding in 1985.

In the mid to late 1970s, The Particles emerged as part of the Punk music scene sweeping Britain and Eastern USA. Originating from Berry Street, North Sydney, this loose outfit quickly gained attention within Australia's budding punk movement. Moving to inner city Sydney allowed them closer access to venues where they performed alongside other notable bands. Despite lineup changes over their 7-8 year history, The Particles maintained a dedicated following through regular gigs and releases such as their popular EP 'Colour-In'. Their experimentation with different instruments and sounds contributed to their unique blend of '80s Bubblegum pop.

Throughout their career, The Particles embarked on extensive tours across major cities in Australia as well as regional centers. By the time they disbanded in 1985, they had amassed countless fans and left an indelible mark on the music scene. With
