The Remains is an American garage rock band, also known as Barry & The Remains. Formed in 1964 at Boston University, the band quickly gained popularity throughout New England with their energetic live performances and catchy original songs. After signing with Epic Records, they had local hits with "Why Do I Cry" and "Diddy Wah Diddy". They appeared on 'The Ed Sullivan Show' and released the soulful single "Don't Look Back". Despite being offered a chance to open for the Beatles on their final tour, the band broke up in 1966. Their self-titled debut album received little attention upon its release.
