Tropical Gothclub

Dean Fertita has been a prominent figure in American rock 'n' roll for nearly two decades. He has contributed his musical talents to renowned bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, The Dead Weather, and The Raconteurs. Additionally, he has collaborated with esteemed artists including Jack White, Karen O, Iggy Pop, Brendan Benson, The Kills, Beck, and more. While Fertita's own music endeavors have spanned from being the lead singer and guitarist of The Waxwings to recording under the name Hello=Fire, he embarked on a new project called Tropical Gothclub without a clear objective for a solo album. During the early months of 2020 amidst the pandemic lockdowns, Fertita utilized a small A-frame in his backyard as a creative space to write and record demos. With ample time on his hands, he expanded upon these ideas with assistance from Dave Feeny at The Tempermill recording studios in Ferndale, MI. Together they transformed the original demos into an innovative showcase that highlights Fertita's diverse songwriting abilities and visionary imagination.

Tropical Gothclub shares similarities with other artists such as GLU, Hello=Fire, Olivia Jean, Desert Sessions, Mini Mansions, Mondo Generator, Demob Happy, SWEETHEAD, The C.I.A., Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, The Dead Weather, Tigercub, Los Dedos
