Augustus Pablo was a Jamaican reggae melodica and keyboard player, producer, and label owner. Born on June 21, 1954 in St. Andrew, Jamaica, he was known for popularizing the use of the melodica in Reggae music. He collaborated with influential artists like [artist name] to develop Dub music. Alongside his brother "Garth," he ran the "Rockers HIFI" sound system and owned several record labels including Rockers and Pablo Records. Despite battling health problems related to a nerve disorder, Augustus Pablo made significant contributions to the reggae genre until his death on May 18, 1999 in Kingston, Jamaica.

A 'PABLO' tag etched in the run-out area of Jamaican records often refers to Augustus Pablo productions.
