Aura Noir

Aura Noir is a black/thrash metal band hailing from Oslo, Norway. Formed in 1993 by Aggressor (Carl-Michael Eide) and Apollyon (Ole Jørgen Moe), the band quickly made their mark on the metal scene. With each member taking turns on different instruments depending on who wrote the songs, Aura Noir brought a unique dynamic to their music.

In 1996, they were joined by Blasphemer (Rune Eriksen) on guitar, further solidifying their sound. However, tragedy struck in 2005 when Aggressor fell from a fourth-floor window and suffered partial paralysis in his legs. The accident forced the band to take a hiatus but after a few years of recovery, they resumed creating music and performing.

With influences ranging from Nifelheim to Impaled Nazarene, Aura Noir has carved out their own distinct style within the black/thrash metal genre. Their powerful performances and intense musicality have garnered them a dedicated fanbase worldwide.
