Betty Wright

Betty Wright was a soul singer, songwriter, and background vocalist born on December 21, 1953 in Miami, Florida. She passed away on May 10, 2020. Betty was known for her million-selling hit "Clean Up Woman" released in 1971 when she was just 17 years old. Another popular song of hers is "Tonight Is The Night", originally released in 1974 but gained more success in 1993 after being sampled by Candyman in his hit song "Knockin' Boots". In the mid-1980s, Betty founded Ms.B Records and produced a gold album under her own label.
