Bill Laswell

Bill Laswell is an American bassist, producer, and record label owner. He is also the owner of Orange Music studio in West Orange, New Jersey since 1997.

Born on February 12, 1955 in Salem, Illinois and raised in Albion, Michigan. Laswell has had a prolific career as a musician, collaborating with artists from all over the world. His music draws upon various genres including funk, world music, jazz, dub, and ambient styles. In addition to his diverse musical influences, he has also ventured into the rock spectrum with hardcore punk and metal.
