Dexter Story
Dexter Story is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, songwriter, producer, and music director. Raised in a music-friendly household, he developed his musical talents at an early age and went on to front and tour with local Los Angeles bands by the time he was 14. After earning an undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley, Dexter collaborated with renowned musicians such as Wynton Marsalis and Ravi Coltrane. He also worked in various roles within the music industry for 15 years before focusing on his own projects.
Throughout his career, Dexter has collaborated with a diverse range of artists including Sa-Ra, Quadron, Madlib’s Yesterday’s New Quintet, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Dwight Trible, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Mocky and many more. In February 2013, he released his debut spiritual soul album "Seasons" featuring underground and international talent. His upcoming album "Wondem," influenced by East African sounds will be released in October 2015.
