Duff McKagan

Michael Andrew "Duff" Rose McKagan is an American bassist, singer, guitarist, and drummer. He began his music career in the late seventies and early eighties playing various instruments in Seattle punk bands. In 1984, he joined Guns N' Roses as their bassist and achieved worldwide success with the band's debut album. After leaving Guns N' Roses, Duff went on to be part of several other projects including Neurotic Outsiders and Velvet Revolver. He has also released solo albums and continues to be a respected figure in the rock music industry.

Duff McKagan started his musical journey in Seattle where he played in multiple punk bands during the late seventies and early eighties. Some of these bands included Avantgarde, Cannibal, Cleavage, On the Rocks, Our Gang, The DT's, The Fags, The Zipads, Wandering Bandaleros, Thankless Dogs (his first band), Fastbacks, The Living and 10 Minute Warning.

In 1984, Duff joined Guns N' Roses after answering an ad placed by Slash looking for a bass player. With Guns N' Roses, Duff experienced global success with their debut album being considered one of the best of all time. He also played in jam bands like Drunkfux and Dr. Love and Love Connection during this period.
