A Bowery Presents Event
Known for their progressive song writing and energetic live performances, Mo Lowda & the Humble's beginnings were in the beer-soaked basements of Philadelphia.Following the release of their first full-length, Curse the Weather, the band started to hit the road. 2015 was highlighted by shows throughout the country and plays at notable summer festivals such as Firefly. The band's 2016 sophomore release, 'Act Accordingly', is a short and sweet embodiment of the band's natural progression; refining their already formidable sound. Since, the band has seen a line up change, with the addition of bassist/multi instrumentalist Jeff Lucci; bringing an elevated dynamic to the band as they continue through 2017 with endless tour dates and the creation of LP2.
Since their 2011 start as Skidmore College’s hottest band since Ratatat, Los Elk has quickly evolved from an up and coming college band into a full blown musical force. Relocating to Boston after graduation, the band quickly made waves as the city’s newest must-see act. Mixing Indie-Rock with flares of Funk and RnB, Los Elk’s razor sharp sound and high energy performance drew attention, and it wasn’t long before they were sharing packed bills with Rubblebucket, Magic City Hippies, Lawrence, Gibbz, Rustic Overtones, Ripe and many more. The band’s fresh approach to songwriting, which brings musical edge to creative pop numbers, has even landed them in Spotify’s U.S Viral 50 chart. From sold out clubs and festival appearances, to backyard acoustic gigs in the heart of Boston, Los Elk is a dynamic four piece that can currently be found tearing up the east coast with their motley crew of die hard fans and friends.
