Field Music

Field Music is a band hailing from Sunderland, England. Formed in 2004, the core of the group consists of brothers David and Peter Brewis, who have both played drums for fellow Sunderland band The Futureheads. Over the years, Field Music's lineup has seen various changes, with talented musicians such as Andrew Moore on piano, Ian Black on bass, Andrew Lowther on bass, Kev Dosdale on guitar, and Tom English (later of MaxĂŻmo Park) on drums.

The Brewis brothers are not only known for their work with Field Music but also for their involvement in multiple side-projects that have garnered equal acclaim. These include School Of Language, The Week That Was, Frozen By Sight (with Paul Smith of MaxĂŻmo Park), and Slug led by Ian Black.

In February 2016, Field Music released their fifth album proper titled "Commontime." Their music is often associated with artists like Gruff Rhys, The Week That Was, School Of Language Dutch Uncles Steve Mason Super Furry Animals Wild Beasts The Bees White Denim Gorky's Zygotic Mynci John Grant C Duncan Here We Go Magic BC Camplight Teleman The High Llamas Gaz Coombes Django Django and Jane Weaver.
