Fifty Foot Hose

Fifty Foot Hose is a psychedelic rock group from San Francisco that was formed in 1967. They disbanded in 1970 but re-formed in 1995. Known for combining rock sounds with electronic instruments and avant-garde compositional ideas, they are considered pioneers of their genre. The original lineup consisted of founder and bassist Louis "Cork" Marcheschi, guitarist David Blossom, vocalist Nancy Blossom, drummer Kim Kimsey, and guitarist Larry Evans.

In 1995, Fifty Foot Hose was reformed by Marcheschi for live performances in San Francisco, featuring a new set of musicians. These performances led to the release of the album Live & Unreleased. In 1997, they released a new studio album called Sing Like Scaffold. On this album, Fifty Foot Hose included members such as Walter Funk III, Reid Johnston, Lenny Bove, Elizabeth Perry, and Dean Cook.

Afterward, Funk and Johnston went on to form the avant-garde electronic band Kwisp with Marcheschi also contributing to their albums.
