GWAR is a band that formed in 1982 as Death Piggy and changed the name to Gwar in 1984. The group of art students from Richmond, Virginia has played a variety of musical styles including punk, hard rock, thrash and heavy metal. They also design and create their own elaborate costumes, props, sets and characters to go along with their stage shows and movies.

The current lineup includes *Blothar The Berserker* on vocals (2014-present), *BalSac The Jaws of Death* on guitar (1988-present), *Jizmak Da Gusha* on drums (1989-present), *Pustulus Maximus* on guitar (2012-present), and *Beefcake The Mighty* on bass (1994–1997, 1999–2002, 2008–2011, 2019-present).

Other notable members include *Sleazy P. Martini*, who serves as vocals, manager, sculptor, and filmmaker since 1985; *Bob Gorman*, also known as Bonesnapper since 2014; *Sawborg Destructo*, who joined as vocalist in 1995-1996 and returned in 2009; *Slymenstra Hymen*, a vocalist, dancer, and artist from 1988-2000; and many others.

It has been thirty of your Earth “years” since your Lords and Masters GWAR released what many consider to be the band’s career-defining album “Scumdogs of the Universe.” In celebration of this momentous occasion, GWAR are pleased as piss to unveil 30th anniversary versions of “Scumdogs of the Universe.”
