Horse Lords

Horse Lords is a quartet from Baltimore, Maryland. Their experimental music incorporates elements of krautrock, post-punk, Appalachian and African musical traditions. They use the just intonation tuning system favored by avantgarde composers La Monte Young and James Tenney, playing hand-modified guitars with repositioned frets. Horse Lords gained recognition on the American DIY scene after their debut album in 2012 and have since toured with Matmos, Guerilla Toss, and Guardian Alien.

The band's unique sound has garnered praise from critics and audiences alike. Their second LP was released by NNA Tapes in 2014. Horse Lords' performances at festivals such as Hopscotch, NXNE, and Fields Fest have further solidified their presence in the music scene.

With Andrew Bernstein on saxophone/percussion, Max Eilbacher on bass/electronics, Owen Gardner on guitar, and Sam Haberman on drums; Horse Lords continue to push boundaries with their polyrhythmic compositions and modular synthesis.
