James Ruskin

James Ruskin is a Croydon-born (1972) and -based techno producer and DJ. With a background in hip hop, electro, and the emerging Detroit techno scenes, he was inspired to become a DJ in 1991. By 1994, he began producing music with his studio partner Richard Polson. Together, they founded Blueprint in 1996.

As Blueprint grew, Ruskin released his first solo tracks and collaborated as a remixer and co-producer. He also held a residency at Circulation.

With influences from artists like Oscar Mulero, Planetary Assault Systems, Regis, and Surgeon among others, James Ruskin has carved out his own unique sound within the techno genre.
