Jessica Lea Mayfield

Jessica Lea Mayfield is an American singer-songwriter born on August 27, 1989, in Kent, Ohio. She began her musical journey at the age of 8, performing with her family bluegrass band One Way Rider. At just 15 years old, Mayfield recorded her first EP White Lies in her brother's bedroom and printed only 100 copies. It was through a chance encounter that one of those copies landed in the hands of Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.

Impressed by Mayfield's talent, Auerbach invited her to collaborate and they hit the studio together. Their partnership led to Mayfield being featured as a vocalist on The Black Keys' album Attack and Release. In return, Auerbach produced Mayfield's debut studio album With Blasphemy, So Heartfelt over a span of two years in his home studio.

With Blasphemy, So Heartfelt showcases Mayfield's captivating voice as she explores country, folk, and soul genres. Her sultry vocals bring life to edgy lyrics and melodies throughout the album. Assisted by her brother David Mayfield on bass and featuring guest appearances from Scott McMicken of Dr. Dog and Frank McElroy on backing vocals.
