LETTUCE is a collective formed in 1992 by four alumni of the prestigious Berklee College Of Music. The band consists of Adam Deitch on drums and percussion, Adam “Shmeeans” Smirnoff on guitar, Erick “Jesus” Coomes on bass, Ryan Zoidis on alto, baritone and tenor saxophone and Korg X-911, Eric “Benny” Bloom on trumpet and horns, and Nigel Hall on vocals, Hammond B-3, Rhodes, clavinet, and keyboards.

Their unique blend of funk, jazz fusion, soulful grooves has earned them a dedicated fan base worldwide. LETTUCE draws inspiration from various genres including hip-hop and rock to create their signature sound. Their energetic live performances are known for their tight musicianship and infectious energy that keeps audiences dancing all night long.

With influences ranging from The Greyboy Allstars to Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, LETTUCE has carved out their own niche in the music industry. As the follow up to their 2019 Grammy Award- nominated album Elevate, genre-defying funk-jazz-soul-hip-hop-psychedelic-jam-rock-experimental music titans Lettuce have announced their seventh studio album. Resonate finds the acclaimed six-piece once again breaking rules, pushing boundaries and uplifting spirits as evidenced with the first single, the funkified “Checker Wrecker”. Drawing on a longstanding collective passion for Washington, DC go-go music, Lettuce welcomes scene legends Big Tony Fisher of Trouble Funk and Tyrone “Jungle Boogie” Williams of Rare Essence into their ecosystem on the new song, which features funk guitars and simmering horns dipping in and out of a percussive pocket before the track struts into swaggering chants, “Put some stank on it,” backed by warbling synths and spacey organ.
