LFO

LFO (Low Frequency Oscillation) was a pioneering electronic music duo formed in 1988 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. Comprised of Gez and Mark, who initially crossed paths as breakdancers before reuniting during their college years to create LFO.

Named after the Low Frequency Oscillator component of synthesizers, LFO played a pivotal role in shaping the "Bleep Techno" sound that emerged in the UK during the late Eighties. Their self-titled techno anthem "LFO" remains one of their most iconic tracks.

After releasing their final album as a duo titled "Advance" in 1996, Mark Bell continued using the name LFO as a solo pseudonym from 2003 onwards. Tragically, Mark Bell passed away in October 2014 due to complications following an operation.
