Lothar and The Hand People

Lothar and The Hand People were a late-1960s psychedelic rock band hailing from Denver, Colorado, USA. Originally formed as a quintet, the group quickly gained popularity in New York's underground music scene after relocating there in 1966.

The band consisted of John Emelin on vocals, Paul Conly on keyboards, Rusty Ford on bass, Tom Flye on drums, and Kim King on guitar (who joined later). Their unique sound and experimental approach to music made them stand out among their contemporaries.

Influenced by the likes of Blossom Toes, The Golden Dawn, Fever Tree, Fifty Foot Hose, Clear Light and many others; Lothar and The Hand People carved their own niche in the psychedelic rock genre. With their mesmerizing performances and innovative soundscapes, they left an indelible mark on the music landscape of that era.
