Lyn Collins

Lyn Collins, born on June 12th, 1948 in Lexington, Texas, was an influential American artist known for her soulful music. She sadly passed away on March 13th, 2005 in Pasadena, California. Her most notable solo hit was "Think (About It)", a gospel-style song produced by James Brown. Released in 1972 as part of her album with the same name on People Records, this track featured five breaks that have been widely sampled in hip-hop and drum and bass genres.

One of the most famous samples from "Think (About It)" is the "Yeah! Woo!" loop used in Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock's iconic song "It Takes Two". This composition heavily relied on samples from Think including snippets of Lyn Collins' vocals. With her unique style and powerful voice, she left a lasting impact on the music industry.
