Marine Girls

Marine Girls were a British post-punk/indie pop band formed in 1980 in Hatfield, United Kingdom. Consisting of Jane Fox on bass, Georgina Hartman and Alice Fox on vocals and percussion, and Tracey Thorn on guitar and vocals, the band disbanded in 1983.

Their music was characterized by catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and a lo-fi sound that became influential within the indie pop genre. Marine Girls' unique blend of jangly guitars, delicate harmonies, and introspective songwriting set them apart from their contemporaries.
