Mike Love is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and activist. He was born on March 15, 1941 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Love co-founded The Beach Boys with his cousins Brian Wilson, Dennis Wilson and Carl Wilson. He is also the nephew of Murry Wilson and Audree Wilson.

In 1998, after the passing of cousin Carl Wilson, Mike Love and longtime Beach Boy Bruce Johnston were granted an exclusive license to tour under the name "The Beach Boys". This allowed them to continue performing as a group while Brian Wilson and Al Jardine pursued solo projects.
