Sir James Paul McCartney CH MBE is a British singer, composer/songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist most famous for being a member of The Beatles. He is also a published poet, painter, philanthropist, animal rights activist, and multi-media executive/producer. McCartney has been recognised as the most successful and popular composer/songwriter/entertainer in the history of popular music.

After the Beatles disbanded, he debuted as a solo artist with the 1970 album "McCartney" and formed the band Wings with his first wife, Linda, and Denny Laine. He resumed his solo career after Wings broke up in April 1981.

McCartney received appointment as Member of the Order of the British Empire in 1965 and was knighted for services to music in 1997. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame both as a member of The Beatles (1988) and as a solo artist (1999). In addition to his musical achievements, McCartney has had personal successes including marriage to Linda McCartney until her passing; fathering children Mary McCartney, Stella McCartney, James McCartney; marrying Heather Mills with whom they had daughter Beatrice Milly before separating; finally marrying Nancy Shevell.

Flaming Pie is the 13th release in the Paul McCartney Archive Collection, personally supervised by McCartney and remastered at Abbey Road Studios. Originally released in 1997, the critically acclaimed &amp; universally beloved solo album was produced by Paul, Jeff Lynne, and George Martin, featuring a supporting cast of family and friends including Ringo Starr, Steve Miller, Linda McCartney, and son James.
