Canned Heat is a seminal American blues rock / boogie rock band that was founded in December 1965 in Los Angeles. Known for their energetic performances and unique blend of blues, rock, and boogie-woogie, the band quickly gained popularity in the late 1960s.

With influences from artists such as *Ten Years After*, *John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers*, and *The Yardbirds*, Canned Heat created a distinctive sound that resonated with audiences around the world. Their music often featured powerful guitar riffs, harmonica solos, and soulful vocals.

Throughout their career, Canned Heat released numerous albums and achieved chart success with hits like "On the Road Again" and "Going Up the Country." They became known for their electrifying live performances at festivals such as Woodstock and Monterey Pop Festival.

Record Store Day is an annual event inaugurated in 2007 to "celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store". Held on one Saturday every April and every Black Friday in November, the day brings together fans, artists, and thousands of independent record stores around the world.
