GG Allin, born Jesus Christ Allin, was a Punk Rock singer from Lancaster, New Hampshire. Born on August 29, 1956, his name was legally changed to Kevin Michael Allin on March 2, 1962. He gained notoriety for his shocking live performances which included defecation and self-harm. Despite the controversy surrounding him, GG Allin recorded extensively in various genres including Punk, Spoken Word, Country and Rolling Stones-influenced rock.

His transgressive acts during live shows left a lasting impact on the punk music scene. GG Allin's fearless disregard for societal norms made him a polarizing figure. His extensive discography showcases his versatility as an artist across different musical styles.

Since it is a compilation intended to both document Allin's early recording career up to that time and to attract new fans to his music, it is the only GG Allin title that has never gone out-of-print; according to his official website, it is also one of the most popular items in GG's discography
