Album artwork for Add Violence by Nine Inch Nails

Nine Inch Nails' Add Violence. Available here on LP and CD.

Now a duo as long term collaborator Atticus Ross has joined Trent and they have definitely regained their mojo - the Twin Peaks performance was great and this augurs well for the album. Add Violence, their second EP in a year and only the third (discounting remix efforts) in Nine Inch Nails’ history. At first listen, it’s as perplexing as its immediate antecedent Not the Actual Events. Both five-track records are elliptical, following roughly the same pattern: a banger to open; a bloopy, spooky, spoken-word-heavy follow-up; a centerpiece dirge; a penultimate screamer; and a lengthy, distortion-heavy comedown to close.

LP - Standard LP.

CD - Standard CD.
