Ric Menck

Ric Menck is an American drummer, record label owner, and music writer. He began his career in Chicago, where he co-founded The Springfields and Choo Choo Train with Paul Chastain in the 1980s. Together, they formed Velvet Crush and relocated to Providence, Rhode Island in the early 1990s. Later on, Menck moved to Los Angeles and managed Bird Song Recordings and Reaction Recordings as part of the Parasol Label Group. He also worked at Freakbeat record store in Sherman Oaks and pursued a career as a music writer.

After nearly two decades in LA, Menck made a move to Minneapolis where he currently works for Mill City Sound. His contributions to the music industry have been influential and diverse. With a rich background spanning various bands and genres, Menck's talent as a drummer has left an indelible mark on the music scene.
